“She was waking up when we got to her.

“When she came round she was quite perky, she knew where she was.

“We covered her in coats and rang an ambulance which took an hour to get to us.

“She went to get up but we were like no stay where you are!

“She said she collapsed completely out the blue.

“Lynne told me she was a health care assistant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, so we talked about the NHS whilst we were waiting for the ambulance.”

Marina, and Ben stayed with Lynne for over an hour.

However, Ben then had to rush off to support another sporting fan who had fell ill.

Marina, aged 56, said: "Lynne's husband was quite distressed, and a young lady was with her too and she was also in distress.

“Then another man fell ill – I think maybe from the shock and the long journey down to St Ives, but he recovered quickly.

“It’s what we are there for, we would not just leave anyone in that state.”
