PEG’s Mission Statement
To support and defend America’s representative democracy, promote effective government at all levels, and advocate for a civil and just society.
People for Effective Government (PEG) is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, based in Spokane, WA. It is a nonpartisan coalition that organizes and holds public events which call attention to problems and issues that we face as a community, region, and nation; and presents possible solutions to these challenges through sincere and civil discourse.
The primary goal of PEG is to influence public policy in a fashion that advances our mission. Our longer term goal is to build the Spokane Chapter of PEG into a public service organization modeled after The Commonwealth Club. (https://www.commonwealthclub.org)
