Nailed it again, dear lady! Still here in the trenches, hoping that a nonprofit residency program might actually be an art form, and that whatever it becomes next represents the viral version of this! Thanks for your brilliant posts.

first: i would very much love to meet your former mail carrier. in my dreams, i am this kind of person.

second: as always, you create a little thought in my mind/feeling in my soul each week that carries me to many beautiful places until the next out of the box installment arrives. thank you for sharing that art form with me.

Joe was so kind. He would go on fishing trips and bring my Mom some of whatever it was he caught.

One time, I dropped a glass on the outside porch, and a shard got under my bare foot and cut it. It started bleeding profusely. He picked me up in a "lovers carry" until my Mom came out, so I wouldn't be standing in pieces of broken glass.

Also, my dog Rika would often jump in his truck or chase it all the way across town back to the post office. He would call my Mom to let her know that Rika was there.

How he had time to give everyone such personal attention and still do his rounds was truly special. ❤️
